Tom made his debut for Great Britain at the Ultra Trail World Championships in 2023, coming home in 11th place. In 2023 he was also the first British athlete to cross the line at the highly prestigious UTMB race, coming 16th in the strongest ever field.
Tom has a multi-day ultra world title to his name, after winning the final of the Ultra-X race series. Prior to that, as a triathlete, he competed at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
Tom’s journey in endurance sport started off in Ironman triathlon as a way to get fit before joining the army. During his time in the Army he realised that his talent was running, particularly the longer distances. After coming 5th in his first ultra distance race, he decided
to leave the Army to try and become a professional ultra runner. He now lives and trains in Sierra Nevada, Spain.
