Kirsteen has represented Great Britain at the World Mountain Running Championships.
She was born in Carlisle and spent the first 10 years of her life with the Lake District as her playground, but now lives in East Devon. Kirsteen started competitive running at the end of 2018 after a fundraising Strava Challenge, which involved 200 miles in one week, raising money for Guide Dogs. An international ultra-runner then encouraged her to start entering races.
Since then, it’s been a great running journey, racing both on the roads and the trails. Kirsteen feels her best performance was the 2019 Snowdonia Trail Marathon, which was also the GB&NI trial race for the World Mountain Running Championships in Argentina. A newcomer to mountain racing, she finished 1st woman and secured her spot on the GB&NI Mountain Running Team. Her goal now is to be the best trail and mountain running athlete that she can be.
